A Night Under the Stars: Latin Spirit Gala Concert in aid of The Passage

A Night Under The Stars: Latin Spirit is an annual gala concert held in aid of The Passage, the Victoria-based charity working to combat homelessness and its causes. The 2014 concert will have a distinctly Latin flavour, whilst also drawing on the concert’s regular mix of popular classical music, virtuoso performers and star presenters that attract sell-out audiences at Southbank Centre’s 2,500-seater Royal Festival Hall. Pieces will include:
- From Bizet's Carmen, the Prelude, the 'Habanera' aria and the 'Toreador Song'
- Saint-Saen's Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso
- Rodrigo’s Adagio from Concierto de Aranjuez and the Canario from Fantasía para un gentilhombre
- Piazzolla’s Libertango and Oblivion
- Ravel's Bolero
Confirmed to perform are internationally acclaimed mezzo Patricia Bardon, award-winning baritone Duncan Rock, rising star violinist Charlie Siem, chart-topping guitarist Miloš Karadaglić and popular NUTS stalwarts Orion Orchestra. Comedienne Jo Brand will host this year’s event.
Although this concert is scheduled until October please be aware that this a highly demanded event and that tickets run out fast!
