MexCC at the Lord Mayor Procession

JOIN US FOR THIS YEAR'S 800TH LORD MAYOR SHOW

 Saturday, 14th NOVEMBER 2015

The MexCC is looking for volunteers to help us represent our country in this year's 800th edition of the Lord Mayor Show

This is a procession unlike any other in the world: over 7000 participants, 20 bands, 150 horses, hundreds of other carriages, carts, coaches and other vehicles including vintage cars, steam buses, tanks, tractors, ambulances, fire engines, unicycles, steamrollers, giant robots, helicopters, ships, penny farthings, beds and bathtubs. The procession sets off from Mansion House at 11am. It pauses at the Royal Courts while the Lord Mayor gives his oath and then returns up the Victoria Embankment at about 1pm. The Lord Mayor will get back to Mansion House just after 2.

This year the MexCC will be having it's own float during the procession, which will consist of a walking caravan representing the Mexican community in the UK and our cultural diversity!

Participants must be ready at the designated area by 9:30 am to report to the MexCC. Consider dressing up with your most representative Mexican dresses and costumes. Feel free to bring with you Mexican flags, and if you don't have a Mexican costume let us know to try and find one for you. The procession will require walking approximately 3 miles (5 km) refrain yourself from bringing any heavy elements or uncomfortable shoes. Please consider weather conditions and bringing money for your lunch.

Bring your best attitude and join us celebrate the City of London!

We remind you that Lord Mayor Show doesn't allow any participants to throw, give away or distribute in any way sweets, leaflets or any other items to spectators on the route so please keep this in mind.
