The Centre for Mexican Studies UNAM-UK, the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain invite you to ESCAPE this Thursday 14 November, 2019, to King’s College, Waterloo Campus, Franklin-Wilkins Building (FWB), Stamford Street London, SE1 9NH and join us at 7pm for a private and exclusive screening of the latest film from Los Pando (Santiago, Tisa and Daniel) ESCAPANDO https://www.escapando.mx/, that will be launched in Mexico City this coming 12 December 2019. The film will be followed by a Q&A with Yves Hayaux and Maria Sarmiento, producers of ESCAPANDO. About ESCAPANDO: We believe that humans will not be the ones saving nature, but rather, that nature is the one that may save humans. There is a minimum probability of reverting the sixth mass extinction and that is by (re)connecting with nature. Betting on the minimum probability is putting our attention to where miracles occur. We need hearts that believe in miracles. And help us create that miracle. I believe in it. Massive social transformations occur when there is a change in the manner in which the collective perceives things. When I change my perception of things, things change. ESCAPANDO is not a film for entertainment, it is a film for detainment. It is codex that helps us remember and change our perception. Remember what we know, but ignore. Remembering is seeing again with our hearts. Our ancestral roots stem from cultures that were focused in their hearts and connected with nature. National and world treasures are maintained in our ancestral memory. ESCAPANDO narrative is poetic and symbolic, which is the language of the hearth and nature. The heartbeat of the human hearth is the heartbeat of the whole universe. Everything is connected. We are all one with the whole. The ego is the one that separates us.
