INVITATION FOR TECH BUSINESSES FROM LATIN AMERICA TO PARTICIPATE IN GLOBAL ACCELERATOR AND IMMERSION PROGRAMME AT LONDON TECH WEEK
We are inviting emerging technology businesses to participate in a dedicated showcase and business support programme at London Tech Week. TRADE DELEGATION FOR LONDON TECH WEEK London Tech Week (10th – 14th June 2019) is Europe’s leading technology and startup festival providing a platform for creating partnerships globally. The week-long festival brings together 50,000+ delegates comprising startups/ scaleups, tech experts, large tech companies, Banks/ FIs, VCs, family offices, universities and academia from across the world. Participating businesses will have the opportunity to explore investment and partnerships not just in the UK but also simultaneously link in with members from other global ecosystems via participation in a bespoke accelerator and immersion programme. Key expected oucomes for participating businesses would be the following: · Showcase and build global profile · Generate leads for business, investment and expertise · Network with investors, corporates, tech buyers mentors and global peers · Identifying ecosystem partners in the UK/ Europe and other global markets · Pitch to innovation teams of banks and corporates · Getting access to operational support and scale-up tools through workshops GLOBAL ACCELERATOR & IMMERSION PROGRAMME Global Accelerator & Immersion Programme (GAIP) is a concentrated 1-week programme for tech businesses looking to expand internationally. The programme provides a combination of scale-up tools, networking and showcase opportunities: · Week-long program of events and networking at LTW · Expert-driven scale-up workshops · Exhibition stand at the Global Ecosystems Summit · Participation in matchmaking session/ 1-to-1 meetings with investors and corporates · Participation in LatAm Tech Day · Pitching and networking sessions at leading innovation hubs in London · Post-event follow-up support The programme is targeted at emerging tech ventures from across global hubs looking to expand internationally and establish a UK presence. Companies can apply to participate individually or as part of a visiting accelerator delegation/ trade mission. MATCHMAKING & B2B MEETING SESSION A special highlight of the programme includes a matchmaking and B2B meeting session as part of the Global Ecosystems Summit, providing tech businesses from LatAm an opportunity to hold 1-to-1 meetings with representatives of large corporates such as Microsoft, KPMG, EDF Energy, Barclays, ING as well as investment institutions, VC funds and angel investment networks. Details of participating companies are matched with corporates and investors beforehand. On the day, each company will have pre-sheduled 5 to 6 meetings of 20 mins each. During these meetings, the companies have the opportunity to discuss their business and product/ investment proposition. In addition, a number of advisors and experts will be available for meetings. These meetings are intended to provide a means of generating leads and engagement for further follow-up.
